Yes. It should be noted that scanning functionality is dependent upon the features of your scanner.  Some scanners preview the image as you scan, some will allow you to proof the pages before you accept them, and some can edit the scanned images before importing into DoxNow.  These are all dependent upon the scanner you are using, not the DoxNow program.

You can use your DoxNow on any Windows compatible computer with .NET Framework 2.0 installed. If the computer does not have .NET Framework 2.0, it can be easily downloaded from www.microsoft.com. The .NET Framework 2.0 has been the standard for only a few years, but most older PCs have also been upgraded during regular system updates.

Data will not be left on the host PC unless you edit the document outside of DoxNow or you sync the DoxNow USB to your PC.

 

No, you are able to view documents independent of the host computer’s software, with the exception of Microsoft Office documents.

In order to view Office documents inside the DoxNow program, the host PC must have Office 97 – 2003 installed. (Office 2007 is not currently supported - check for updates to this). For a free Office viewer, download OpenOffice from www.openoffice.org.

Adobe Reader is required to view Adobe PDF files in the DoxNow program. This can be downloaded for free at www.adobe.com.

 

Yes, as long as you edit the file outside of DoxNow in the appropriate application and do not change the file name or location when saving.

Yes. The U3 drive is yours to do with as you please. There are many applications available for download, but DoxNow cannot guarantee the software or how it will affect DoxNow DMS or your documents.

DoxNow warrants that this product will be free from material defects in manufacture and will substantially conform to the published specifications under normal use, beginning on your date of purchase and continuing during the applicable Warranty Period listed below, subject to the following conditions. This warranty is provided to the original end user purchasing from DoxNow and is not transferable. Proof of purchase may be required. This product must be used in a device that is compliant with the specifications of the Universal Serial Bus - Implementers Forum, Inc. (www.usb.org); use with any other device voids this warranty. DoxNow is not responsible for any failure or defect caused by any third party product or component, whether authorized or not. This warranty is void if DoxNow determines that the product was damaged as a result of improper installation, misuse, unauthorized repair, modifications or accident, or was not used in accordance with the product instructions.

You must obtain a tracking confirmation number and return the product in tamper resistant packaging, freight prepaid, as instructed by DoxNow. DoxNow will, at its option, repair or replace the product with new or refurbished product of equal or greater capacity and functionality, or refund your purchase price, less any rebates. The warranty duration on any replaced product will be that portion of the Warranty Period remaining on your original product.

DoxNow does not warrant, and shall not be responsible for, any lost data or images contained in any product (including in any returned product), regardless of the cause of the loss. DoxNow's products are not warranted to operate without failure. DoxNow products must not be used in life support systems or other applications where failure could threaten injury or life.

If you have synched your DoxNow with your PC (by installing the Backup PC Version), you may simply download the indexed DoxNow documents, including digital folders, subfolders and indexes, from your PC directly to your new DoxNow. Synching allows you to store the documents to your PC just as they are stored on your DoxNow, eliminating the need to re-import, re-scan and re-index your files.

If you have registered your DoxNow with the Serial Number and someone reports to DoxNow that they have found it, DoxNow will take the steps necessary to mail your DoxNow to you. You can download Find My U3 by clicking Add Programs from the Launchpad, or by visiting http://software.u3.com/.
