Because you are running on a USB drive, speeds may vary. We highly recommend that you keep your batches to fewer than 100 pages, or that you keep it to one document per batch when importing very large documents, to reduce the effect of the USB drive speeds when indexing and syncing your USB to your PC.
Find and download the PC version online at www.doxnow.com/products/updates. (Note: You must be a registered user to access updates online.) After you have saved the program to your computer, select "Add Programs" and "Install from My Computer" from the U3 launch pad.
By using the many zoom features available in DoxNow, you can view your documents in the way that's most convenient for you.
You can use the three-way zoom to zoom in, zoom to a selected area of the document, or zoom the area under your cursor in a pop-up magnified window.
You can also use the fit to height and fit to width features for optimal viewing.
- Is your USB plugged in properly?
- The USB drive light should be on constant or flashing if it's processing data.
- Do you have the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0? You can check here:
Start-> Control Panel-> Add or Remove Programs.
Some computers require you to select Remove Programs.
->Sort Programs by Name.
->Look for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
If you do not list it, you can download it to your PC for free from www.microsoft.com. After you download the program, you must install it.
- Are you trying to use DoxNow on a Macintosh computer, or otherwise unsupported system?
- DoxNow works on PCs with Windows 2000 or above.
- Do
you have an unconnected drive? (i.e., if you have an unconnected drive
on a laptop that only works when connected to a network)
-
With any USB drive, Microsoft sometimes assigns the USB drive
the same letter as the unconnected network drive, and therefore the U3
Launch Pad will not auto load. Try to re-insert the USB drive. If it is
not assigned a new letter, delete the connection to the network drive
and assign it a different letter (recommended: Q to Z).
- Do you have DoxNow running?
-
You can only have one version of DoxNow running at a time. You can check here:
->Open Task Manager.
->Click the Processes Tab & sort by Name
->Look for DoxNow DMS.exe.
->If it is on the list, click on it and select End Process.
Yes. The U3 drive is yours to do with as you please. There are many applications available for download, but DoxNow cannot guarantee the software or how it will affect DoxNow DMS or your documents.

DoxNow uses Batches to group documents imported or scanned at the same time, to allow for easier indexing. DoxNow will automatically assign batch names based on a number and the current date. Users have the ability to name batches according to their preferences.
If you choose not to use the DoxNow default batch description, you should assign a batch name that makes it easy for you to identify the contents, such as Sharon's Wedding Photos July 2006, or Joe's Medical Records.
A Duplex scanner scans both sides of a page at the same time; a simplex scanner only scans one side of a page at a time.

Masks are what you see on the screen when prompted to enter data in an Index field. Because you are seeking specific information in a specific format for that field, the mask format cannot be auto-incremented. Auto-incrementing could lead to entries that extended beyond the number of characters allotted to the mask.
